Psychology Multi-College Department

The psychology multi-college department implementation committee’s charge was to form a new multi-college Department of Psychology. Faculty from the existing departments of Psychology (College of Arts and Sciences) and Human Development (College of Human Ecology) comprise a new Department of Psychology. The committee’s focus included the development of specific goals, strategies, and structures aimed at building a top department, recognized for its scholarly contributions, innovations, and translational impact. With input from all faculty in the new department, the committee made recommendations about areas of concentration, based upon the state of contemporary psychological science and anticipated future developments in the field, while also respecting Cornell’s historical specializations and existing reputation.
